arabian mare?

I don't know *what* kind of animal I am.

I'm realizing I'm not *really* a grasshopper (sad face) - it's a persona I've adopted to give me a safe space to 'work' while I figure out who the heck I actually *am*.

I was thinking just now that I am *fierce* when cornered, and fiercely protective of those I see as needing protecting; but the rest of the time I'm fairly gentle.

And yet that ire is roused in me easily.

It reminds me of a housecat - you know when they lie on their sides in that inviting way that seems calculated to tempt you to pet their soft bellies?

And yet, as soon as you do it? your hands are clawed and bitten by this crazed animal that only *looks* soft and cuddly. But is really a 'carnivore, red in tooth and claw,'. Or is it 'nature' that's 'red,' etc.?

Anyway.

For some reason, 'meerkat' popped into my mind, so I looked it up to see if it fits. I liked one of the pictures I found:

Looks like they're posing for a family portrait.

freedom within love.

:-)

Ok, this is a copyrighted image, but I'm using it as today's Tiger Tarot because - well, it best captures what I'm feeling at the moment.

Good card(s)

Three of Wands
I will give this one my *own* interpretation:

New growth, which is the image I was looking for a couple of posts back.

Maybe I'll add yet *another* image from my collection to represent it as well:

Not sure what this particular image has to do with anything, except I *like* it :-).

And it seems, somehow, *hopeful* to me - forward motion, swimming through the bright blue water.

(Aside to self: Hm, water symbolism, with the heron, the swimming tiger, and the turtle. Water in chinese symbology = second chakra and relationships. Interesting.)

I want to not squander my energy

on revenge or non-productive behavior.

I want to focus, when I'm *able* to focus, on things that matter to *me*.

Growth!

Green, grasshopper, GROWTH.

FORWARD motion!

Maybe it's time to scrounge up card Two of my own personal tarot. Let's go see what's in the image files.

Looking for the right symbol.

Seeking an image that captures what it feels like. Somewhere I've got a picture of a white tiger swimming that seems more like what I'm looking for - peaceful by nature, yet fierce when roused from her - slumber?

The swimming represents flexibility - an animal who *appears* to be most at home in the jungle, yet, when the need arises? Can do things others don't expect. Sort of an 'ace in the hole', or something.

Here she is:

Isn't she GORGEOUS? :-)

Maybe I'll make my own Tarot and call it Tiger Tarot.

[Edited to add: Serenity seems like a possible name for this card.]
