Keeps us from saying what we really think and feel

until it’s too late.

People don’t believe it

Unless you’ve written it down

for all to see and hear

incontrovertible evidence

that it was TRUE.

No argument – those letters may as well be

cast in stone.

Be careful what you write down

because, somewhere

it’s there forever.

And then again?

We are creatures of stories.

If we are *sensible*, we’ll hang on to whichever story

makes us feel best. Just like eating good food

instead of junk.
