Question their assumptions

re-framing. It’s *good* to turn things around on people, to push back. Don’t let them steamroller you with their assertions, their beliefs, their needs. Let them *speak*, but don’t let them flatten *you* in the process.

Doomsday device in her head that assumes the worst.

She says that words are permanent; once said, they can never be taken back, the damage they do can never be repaired.

So why, then, is she so unaware of the damage *her* words do? Inflicting wounds, unrepentant. As if *she’s* the only one who can be hurt, wounded, by the careless words and deeds of others. As if *she* is innocent of all ‘wrong-doing’. Gah, she can *never* see that sometimes people, including her, simply make *mistakes*. It’s all about being ‘bad’ or ‘good’ – these eternal, fucking, condemning, goddamn *judgments*. FUCK that.
