a.m. angst.

Almost changed my sidebar just now to

"One woman's tortuous journey through the trackless wilderness of her subconscious."

"A female Odysseus with green carapace; adventurer, explorer, sojourner, her demons lie in the back alleys of her mind."

"Armed only with her own wits and her dauntless courage, our hero battles her (what's the plural of nemesis?) daily, conquering left and right, emerging battle-scarred but victorious."

"Grasshopper the..." (it has to be alliterative, right? What starts with 'g' - thinking, thinking - may have to come back to this one. Feel free to jump in if you have a fabulous suggestion - no prizes, I'm afraid.)

"Hero for rent."
"Dragons slayed here, special 'cut' (nyuk nyuk) rates."

Thank you, Terry Pratchett and all the other twisted Brits for keeping me sane through all this. I couldn't have done it without you.

Edited to add: But of course - it has to be 'Grasshopper the Great" :-).

"The sword-wielding, brave yet gentle grasshopper forges boldly into battle, daily matching her tiny green fierceness against the tests of time and fate."

I *do* go on. :-)
